So, what's new at WatchCount.com since our last newsletter?
(*) The answer is yet another question: Do you know about
our Widget? It's a free service we offer that some sellers use in their eBay listings to
publicly boast their item's Watch Count. Depending on a seller's niche, doing so can help increase perceived value and drum up interest in the item. (Admittedly, sometimes it could actually hinder bidding, depending on the audience.) Read more about it, or start using it here:

Well, we've been working hard on a variety of improvements to the Widget recently. We made some cosmetic changes a few weeks ago, sharpening up some facets of the Widget display image itself. More excitingly though, we've almost ready to roll out some "under the hood" upgrades that'll make the
Widget more robust. Sorry, we can't let the cat out of the bag with the details just yet, but keep an eye on our
News page later this week for an announcement.
That said, if you're a newsletter reader who's curious about these new enhancements and might be interested in having them added to your current or newly added Widgets in advance of public release, feel free to reach out to us via the
Contact Us page on our site (or down below) with your eBay seller ID. We'll give you the scoop and add you to the private pre-launch list so you can start benefiting right away.
(*) Also... Pursuant to visitor request, we've added support to WatchCount.com for some additional

Reborn dolls continue to be a hot searched item at WatchCount.com. Knowing that probably won't change for a while, we looked beyond that and saw a few other searches that were repeatedly used here over the past month:

Gymboree clothing, for sale and resale, seems to be hot niche on eBay:

Q: A visitor from the Phoenix, AZ (USA) area requested, "I would like to see the 50 most watched items."
A: Ok, so that's not exactly a question, but we have an answer nonetheless... Over on our
Advanced Search page, you can opt to see many more results than what our
standard search page offers. We don't have 50 as an option, but we do have 60, 80, and even 100 as choices for you. You will, however, need to select a Category or enter a Keyword first. (If you wanted the top 50 across all of eBay, the best we can do is the
top 10-15, accessible from our
home page. Sorry!)

eBay restructures some of its categories periodically as it navigates the ebb and flow of a fluid marketplace. They recently allowed the subcategory "Motors: Boats" to bubble its way up into the top-level tier (pier?) of the
eBay US Motors site, presumably because of an increase in boat listings that have surfaced on the site. (Can you ship a boat via UPS?)
We thought we'd follow the tide and see what treasures washed up ashore... Float on over to
this search results page to see a 42' Ketch currently being auctioned off in Florida, and harboring over 470 watchers:
