Greetings, and welcome to the first issue of the WatchCount.com Newsletter! This is where we'll keep you posted on new site happenings, some tips and tricks, and a few other fun things along the way.
We all get too much email as it is, so I'll try to keep this short. Let's get going...

() New feature: For most search results on our site we've started displaying Sale Count for items that are in Fixed Price format. You'll see this in the same spot where Bid Count would be shown for Auction-Style listings. Sale Count is the number of previous sales in a multiple-item Fixed Price listing. Along with Watch Count, this can help you get a better sense of item popularity and demand.
() We've just upgraded to a fancy new server to keep pace with increasing demand, so if you're one of our regular visitors you should already notice speedier searches, faster page loads, and more search results. Moreover, the
WatchCount.com Widget will appear faster on
eBay listings, making it a better experience for everyone involved. Most of the time faster is better, dontcha think?
() Check it out - it's our birthday! Yup. A mere 1 year ago we launched and quickly thereafter got certified by eBay as an
official eBay Compatible Application. I guess in "internet dog years" that makes us about 7 years old now?

() Search Tip 1: As an example, if you're a coin collector using WatchCount.com to keep an eye on the marketplace and are looking out for wheat pennies, perhaps you search twice, with the terms "wheat penny" and "wheat cent". Instead, use this shortcut, by entering (without quotes): "wheat (penny,cent)" . You'll be doing 2 searches in 1. Time is money of course, so one could say you'll be saving yourself a dime with this trick. ;-)
() Search Tip 2: You can include wildcards (asterisks) to catch similar search results. Improve upon the previous example so you don't miss out on "pennies" and "cents". Do so by entering (without quotes): "wheat (penn*,cent*)" .

We've noticed a significant number of visitors who regularly search our site to keep tabs on ever-popular reborn baby dolls going up for auction on eBay. These dolls are each individually custom made and have an uncanny resemblance to real live babies. Reborning artists are very proud of their craft and have a devoted following. See for yourself:
