We bought it with the automatic turner. It was very easy to assemble and set up. It controls the temperature and humidity perfectly. Only issue is the installed thermometer does not read the proper temerature. They do include two other thermometers to put inside to measure the temperature at the level of the eggs. None of the three thermometers agreed on the temperature. It recommended getting a calibrated thermometer in the instructions. We did that and found out one of the thermometers they sent was reading the accurate temperature, so we used it. Other than that it worked great.

When delivered it was well packaged, but I was disappointed in the construction of the polystyrene construction, this would be good for a first timer raising a batch of eggs, what I do worry about is handling of same over a period of time ( due to bumping, or dropping and causing damage ). I have said no to the quality due to the fact that anything made of foam can crack or break if dropped , should be used on a flat surface and away from heat sources. For the money night be better made of high resistant plastic. Again this is only my opionion of what is there in front of me

Not sure how I feel about this incubator. It seems very cheaply made, especially with all the reviews of how the thermometer and hygrometer are unreliable- which makes the whole hatching adventure iffy at best. The styrofoam seems like it needs a plastic sheeting, both for visual appeal and to help with cleaning/ odor retention issues. The mesh grate allows the eggs to roll around and cool too much while you try to carefully balance. Yes it heats. Yes it insulates. Am I wow'ed by this product? Not so much. But it works, as long as you get a digital and accurate therm/hygrometer and a cabinet shelf liner that is non slip to keep eggs still.

After three weeks of turning eggs, maintaining the temperature and humidity. We had a very low hatch rate. The included thermometer along with another scientific thermometer we set in the bottom to measure temperature. When candling the egg, we had good fertility but only two out of sixteen chicks hatched. Some started to break out of their shells but then died. I will try again and write another review if we have any different success. Maybe the fan kit would have improved our results.

This incubator is nice because it has two nice windows you can look in to see what's happening with the eggs. The temperature dial is very finicky. The motor viabrates and causes the temperature to change. You have to place heavy items on the top in order to stop the loud vibration sound and help to control the heat. The incubator is styrofoam and not very strong. The hygrometer is completely inaccurate as well as the temperature gauge. You must purchase a separate hygrometer/temp gauge. The heating element is quite low and I am always afraid a chicken will burn his/her eyes on it! No, I would not recommend this incubator. Save your money and buy a more expensive one.
