I look at this production as a misguided satirical comedy with emphasis on what has gone wrong with America, i.e, sex is just for fun, swearing is cool ,disrespect for parents and law is acceptable, and whoever is the craziest will rule.. The fact that this series was so popular is truly troubling and shows to what level our society has sunk. The sad fact is that millions of children have viewed the series and think that this is their America, and that the actions of the adults in this series is somehow acceptable.. We don't have to worry about ISIS bringing us down, Hollywood is doing it for them.

Still a good deal but falsely advertised. Disks upside down in the package, fingerprints all over them and one was deeply scratched. I'm guessing the owner used and abused the item, then plastic sealed the box with shrink wrap to give the illusion it was new.

Ah, Tony and the gang; those Crazy Capos, Those Made Men of Mayhem, those Loveable Liquidators of Jersey, Those Bruisers of the Bada Bing...ok, ok, I'll stop. What can I say ? For me, Season 2 is the best so far. The storylines are fresh and very well written, the acting is flawless, and Season 2 allows the characters to develop beyond the standard expectation of their respective roles in the Mob; we get to see them as regular people (as regular as possible, given their line of work). They are human, and faced with the everyday problems and stupid aggravations that all can relate to. This Season, to me, captures the essence of the Soprano's, and many of the episodes in this set are among my favorites. I will enjoy these for years to come.
Great story, not for the faint of heart or language however. But if you like a good realistic inside look at the Mafia these tapes are for you. The story line is somewhat jumpy but when taken into account with the previous season and other episodes they make for an intriguing and addictive series of shows. It is refreshing to see real characters that aren't the "model" types in roles that really have some depth. Can't wait to get into the next season!
The Sopranos is an American television drama series created by David Chase that revolves around the New Jersey-based mobster Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini) and the difficulties he faces as he tries to balance the often conflicting requirements of his home life and the criminal organization he heads. The series also features Tony's family members and Mafia associates in prominent roles and storylines, most notably his wife Carmela (Edie Falco) and cousin and protégé Christopher Moltisanti (Michael Imperioli).
